IEC850-211-S CR bridges Modbus TCP field devices and IEC 61850 MMS clients. Modbus registers are presented as IEC 61850 data objects, so a substation client or SCADA system can read values and issue commands without native Modbus support.Modbus registers are mapped to IEC 61850 data objects with the supplied configuration utility, which also generates the ICD file. Supported data objects include Ind, AnIn, SPCSO and AnOut under the GGIO logical node, and control uses Select-Before-Operate for secure remote operations.The gateway handles up to 32 Modbus TCP server connections and 5 IEC 61850 MMS client connections, with a combined limit of 9600 Modbus registers across coils, discrete inputs, input registers and holding registers.
