CANopen
The GW-7433D-G bridges CANopen networks and Ethernet-based control systems. On the field side it operates as a CANopen master, using PDO and SDO services to communicate with slave devices. On the plant side it appears as a Modbus TCP server and a Modbus RTU slave, so an existing CANopen installation can be monitored and controlled from any Modbus TCP client or Modbus RTU master.Slave devices are predefined using the manufacturer's utility software. At start-up the gateway collects the required information from those slaves. It supports up to 20 CANopen slave devices, and up to five Modbus TCP clients can access the unit at the same time. The listen mode lets engineers monitor CANopen slave data without taking part in the network traffic. Slaves can be added or removed on line, and CANopen status, slave and gateway communication states, and disconnections can be queried through Modbus commands.ApplicationsControl systemsBuilding automationFactory automationDistributed data acquisitionWind turbine monitoring and control, integrating large inverters and PLCs
The I-7232D-G CR bridges a CANopen network and a Modbus RTU network. On the CANopen side it acts as an NMT slave, SDO server, PDO producer and PDO consumer, so a standard CANopen master can reach Modbus devices without custom programming. On the Modbus side it works as an RTU master that polls the predefined data of the connected slaves and passes CANopen control commands through to them. The gateway follows CiA 301 v4.02 and DSP-401 v2.1 and supports dynamic PDO mapping, EMCY messages, error output values and cyclic and acyclic SYNC operation. An EDS file is generated by the configuration utility, so the unit can be added to a standard CANopen master using that file. Node ID and baud rates are set with the CAN_MRU utility or LSS protocol.Suited to distributed data acquisition and control in factory and building automation, the unit uses a 7-segment LED to show the Node ID and both baud rates, and includes a hardware watchdog. It is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C.ApplicationsControl systemsBuilding automationFactory automationDistributed data acquisition
The I-7565-CPM-G CR is a USB to CANopen master converter for engineers who want to run a CANopen network from a PC. It has its own 80186 CPU at 80 MHz that runs the converter firmware independently, so the host only has to send commands over USB. A set of APIs lets developers control the device from their own applications, which reduces the work needed to handle the CANopen protocol directly. The unit has one CANopen port built on an NXP SJA1000T CAN controller, with baud rates from 10 k to 1 M and a built-in 120 Ω terminal resistor. Its USB connection makes it easy to move between test benches and machines, which suits quick CANopen system setup and commissioning. The CANopen master also supports the CANopen Motion Library, which follows CiA 402 and covers position, velocity, torque and synchronised control. The I-7565-CPM-G CR is listed with a RoHS designation in its ordering description. It carries CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE certifications, and its operating range is -25 ~ +75 °C.ApplicationsIndustrial MachineryLaboratory Equipment & ResearchRestaurant AppliancesMaritimeMedicalSpecialty Vehicles
The I-8123W-CPS-G adds a single CANopen slave port to supported ICP DAS PACs, so an engineer can connect a WinPAC, ViewPAC or XPAC controller to a CANopen network as a slave device. It is a practical choice where a PAC needs CANopen connectivity without a separate gateway, and it suits distributed real-time control in industrial, building and vehicle applications. The module follows the CiA DS-301 v4.02 specification and supports node IDs from 1 to 127, with a programmable slave node ID. Node Guarding, Heartbeat Consumer, EMCY, and PDO/SYNC behaviour can be configured through event triggers and several PDO transmission modes, while dynamic PDO mapping and single-byte PDO output help keep process data updates efficient.Ordering code I-8123W-CPS-G CR. The CAN interface uses an NXP SJA1000T controller with a built-in 120 Ω terminal resistor, a baud rate range of 10 k to 1 M, and 2500 Vrms photo-isolation on the CAN side. Vendor-supplied eVC++, VB.Net and C# demos are provided to help with application development.ApplicationsIndustrial automationBuilding automationVehicleMaritimeEmbedded control networks
The I-8123W-G CR adds a CANopen master port to compatible ICP DAS WinPAC, ViewPAC and XPAC controllers over the parallel bus. It is intended for engineers who need a CANopen master on an existing PAC without a separate gateway, and it communicates with slave devices using the CiA 301 v4.02 specification. The module uses an NXP SJA1000T CAN controller with an 82C250/251-class transceiver, and provides a single CAN port on a 5-pin screw terminal connector with a built-in 120Ω terminating resistor. Scan, listen and event-monitoring functions help with commissioning and supervising a live network, while dynamic PDO mapping and several SYNC modes allow the process data exchange to be tuned to the application.Electrical isolation is rated at 3000 VDC for DC-to-DC and 2500 Vrms for the photo-coupler. The module also supports the CANopen Motion Library, which follows CiA 402 and covers position, velocity, torque and synchronised control. Drivers are provided for WinPAC, ViewPAC, XPAC and XPAC-CE6, with SDK support for eVC++4.0, VC++, VB.net and C#.net.ApplicationsIndustrial machineryLaboratory equipment and researchRestaurant appliancesMaritimeMedicalSpecialty vehicles
I-87123-G is a single-port CANopen master module for engineers who need a dedicated master controller on a CAN bus network. It follows the DS-301 v4.02 specification and handles network management, scanning of all nodes on the network, and monitoring of EMCY, Node Guarding and Heartbeat events. For process data, the module offers event-triggered, remote-requested, cyclic and acyclic SYNC of PDO modes, along with dynamic PDO mapping. SDO communication supports the segment protocol, and the module can also run in master listen mode. The baud rate range is 10 k ~ 1 M, and a 120Ω terminating resistor is built in.The module is isolated, with 3000 VDC for DC-to-DC and 2500 Vrms for the photo-coupled channels. It is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C and includes PWR, RUN and ERR status LEDs.
