tWF-PD8 CR is a compact Wi-Fi remote I/O module that brings wireless monitoring of eight dry contact inputs into SCADA, HMI and other Modbus TCP based control systems. It operates on the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz standard and can run as an Access Point (limited AP) or as a Station (STA), so it can join an existing 802.11 network infrastructure.
Each digital input channel is photo-isolated and includes a 32-bit counter, with a maximum count of 4294967295 and an input frequency of up to 20 Hz. Configuration is available through a PC utility, an Android app or a web browser, and the Wi-Fi link supports Open, WEP and WPA2 encryption. The module accepts 9 to 48 VDC supply with reverse polarity protection and draws 0.7 W maximum.
The module is designed for DIN-rail mounting and has an operating range of -25 to +75 °C. It is typically chosen for on/off monitoring and counting in building, machine and factory automation, as well as for remote diagnosis and maintenance. The manufacturer lists this variant as available in Asia only.
