Produktinformation "DS-2235i Serial-to-Ethernet Device Server, 3-port Isolated RS-422/485"
DS-2235i CR is a serial-to-Ethernet device server that brings RS-422/485 devices onto an IP network. Its three isolated serial ports let several field devices connect through one unit, with data carried over TCP/IP in Virtual COM, TCP server or TCP client mode.
The VxComm Utility can map the serial ports to standard Windows COM ports, so existing software can reach serial devices over the network without modification. Pair-connection (serial-bridge or serial-tunnel) operation links two serial devices across Ethernet. A 2-port switch with LAN bypass supports daisy-chain wiring, and power can come from PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1) or a DC terminal block.
A dual watchdog, made up of a CPU watchdog and a host watchdog, is included to help the module keep operating in demanding environments. The CR ordering code corresponds to the RoHS-marked version of the DS-2235i.
