The GW-7472-UL bridges EtherNet/IP, Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP networks. It acts as an EtherNet/IP adapter to a scanner, reads register data from Modbus RTU slaves and Modbus TCP servers, and presents that data as EtherNet/IP input data. Output data from the scanner is written back to the register data of the Modbus devices.
This standard GW-7472-UL variant is rated for an operating range of -25 ~ +70 °C. The UTA variant of the series extends this to -40 ~ +70 °C, so this ordering code suits installations that do not require sub-zero operation at the lower limit. The unit is supplied with a DC-jack to 2-wire power cable, 0.3 M (CA-002-UL).
The compact housing measures 52 x 27 x 77.4 mm and mounts on DIN-rail. It accepts power over Ethernet to IEEE 802.3af Class 1, or from a DC adapter, and the two power inputs are redundant. Firmware can be updated over Ethernet.
