Produktinformation "DS-2212i Serial-to-Ethernet Device Server, 1-port Isolated RS-232"
The DS-2212i CR brings a standard RS-232 serial device onto Ethernet, so it can be reached over a LAN or the Internet without changing the device's software. Its virtual COM mode lets Windows applications open a standard PC COM port that is mapped to the remote module, while TCP Server and TCP Client modes cover direct network connections between serial equipment and host systems.
The 2-port Ethernet switch with LAN bypass allows the unit to be daisy-chained along a cable run, which simplifies device placement and reduces switch infrastructure. The module can be powered from a PoE source meeting IEEE 802.3af Class 1 or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block, and the isolated RS-232 port is rated at 3000 VDC for signal isolation.
Configuration is handled through the built-in web server, which supports static IP or DHCP addressing, and the module can be installed on a DIN rail. The unit carries CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE marks and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C.
