The XW509 CR is an XW-board expansion module that adds serial communication and discrete I/O to a supported PAC. It provides two non-isolated RS-232 ports with baud rates from 1,200 up to 115,200 bps, alongside four isolated digital inputs and four isolated digital outputs in a single board.
The serial ports are 16C550 compatible and each has an internal 16-byte hardware FIFO. Parity, data bit and stop bit options are configurable, with support for 5 to 8 data bits and 1, 1.5 or 2 stop bits.
The digital inputs accept sink or source wiring and are rated for wet contacts, with a 3750 Vrms isolation barrier. The four outputs are sink-type open collector channels, rated 10 ~ 40 VDC load voltage and 200 mA per channel at 25 °C. Each PAC accepts only one XW-board.
