The XP-8031-WES7 is a Windows-based PAC that brings computing, I/O and operator interface into a single unit. It suits projects where HMI, data acquisition and control must sit in one controller rather than across separate devices.
At its core is a 1 GHz dual-core x86 CPU with 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM and 32 GB flash, running Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1 (32-bit). Because the operating system uses the Win32 API of Windows 7, desktop applications built on that interface can be ported with relatively little change. The unit offers dual Gigabit Ethernet, VGA output, four USB 2.0 ports and a mix of RS-232 and RS-485 serial ports.
For wider I/O coverage, remote expansion is available through ICP DAS Ethernet I/O modules and RS-485 I/O modules. The unit also features a redundant power input with a relay for power-fail alarm signalling, and it is rated for DIN-rail or wall mounting over an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.
