WP-5231PM-4GC-CE7 CR is a 4G programmable automation controller built around a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU and Windows CE 7.0 Professional. It combines control, cellular connectivity and GPS/GNSS positioning in a metal casing, with an expansion bus for the optional XV-board I/O module.
The integrated 4G module supports the frequency bands listed for the China (Asia only) variant, including FDD LTE B1/B3/B8, TDD LTE B38/B39/B40/B41, WCDMA 900/2100, TD-SCDMA 1900/2100, CDMA2000 (BC0) 800 MHz and GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. A built-in TCP/IP stack allows simple controllers with serial ports to reach the modem without custom driver development.
Memory comprises 512 MB SDRAM, 256 MB Flash, 64 KB FRAM for data retention and optional microSD storage of up to 32 GB. The unit also provides dual watchdog timers, a real-time clock and a 64-bit hardware serial number for software protection.
