LP-5231 CR is a LinPAC programmable automation controller built around a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor and Linux kernel 3.2.14. It suits engineers who need a Linux platform with real-time capability for time-critical control and data handling, supported by an SDK with a GCC-based toolchain and LinPAC libraries.
The controller provides 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM, 512 MB flash and a microSD socket (4 GB card supplied, up to 32 GB microSDHC supported) for programs, images and data. A 64 KB FRAM provides non-volatile memory, and a real-time clock and dual watchdog timer support robust operation.
Connectivity includes a 10/100/1000 Base-TX Ethernet port, four serial ports (RS-232 and RS-485, one RS-485 port isolated at 2500 VDC), a USB 2.0 host port and VGA output up to 1280 x 1024. The XV-Board expansion bus adds I/O, and the unit mounts on DIN-rail with a supply input of +12 VDC to +48 VDC.
