I-8053 CR is a 16-channel digital input module for reading wet contact signals in the 10~30 VDC range. Each input works with either sink or source wiring, so one module suits a wide range of field devices without changing the hardware.
Every channel has its own status LED, and a separate power and communication LED is provided, so the state of each input can be checked at a glance during commissioning and fault finding. Photocoupler isolation and 3750 VDC intra-module isolation help keep the inputs stable in electrically noisy plants, while 4 kV ESD protection on each terminal adds robustness during installation and service.
The module suits building, factory and machine automation projects, as well as remote maintenance and diagnosis tasks and test rigs. It is specified for an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C and a power consumption of 0.4 W maximum.
