Produktinformation "I-7188E3 Programmable Ethernet to 3x Serial Converter, RS-232/422/485"
The I-7188E3 CR is a programmable device server that brings an RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial device onto an Ethernet network. Its built-in COM ports can be presented to a Windows host as standard virtual COM ports using the VxComm driver, or accessed directly over raw TCP, so existing serial software can often be connected without rewriting it.
Built around an 80188 CPU at 40 MHz and the MiniOS7 operating system, the unit can run custom Xserver-based applications on the device itself. It also includes four digital inputs that accept wet or dry contacts and four open-collector digital outputs, which can handle up to 30 VDC and 100 mA per the source data.
The housing is palm-sized and includes a watchdog timer, reverse polarity protection on the 10 to 30 VDC power input, and a removable terminal block for wiring. The rated operating range is -25 °C to +75 °C, making it suitable for factory, building and home automation installations.
