GW-7472-UL-UTA is a DIN-rail gateway that exchanges register data between an EtherNet/IP scanner, Modbus RTU slaves and Modbus TCP servers. It polls the Modbus devices and presents their data as input data to the EtherNet/IP scanner, while output data from the scanner is written back to the Modbus registers. Its compact housing suits installations where space is limited, including mounting close to a serial device.
This UTA variant is specified for an operating range of -40 ~ +70 °C and uses conformal coating for resistance to moisture and salt spray, which suits coastal and high-humidity sites. Power can come from a PoE switch over a standard Category 5 cable (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1), or from a DC adapter via the DC jack. The two inputs are redundant, so the unit stays powered if one source fails. The order includes a 0.3 m DC-jack to 2-wire power cable (CA-002-UL).
Configuration options include a Modbus RTU master with up to 30 commands, support for up to 10 Modbus TCP servers, and firmware updates over Ethernet. The unit carries UL, CE, UKCA, RoHS and WEEE certifications.
