The ECAT-M801-32AX CR is a PCI Express EtherCAT MainDevice card for PC-based motion and I/O control. Its onboard CPU handles multi-axis motion and I/O functions, which reduces the processing load on the host PC. It supports up to 32 axes and up to 512 slaves, making it suited to larger machine layouts built around EtherCAT.
The card combines synchronised motion features such as E-GEAR and E-CAM with virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation. Onboard I/O comprises 13 digital inputs and 13 digital outputs, plus two encoder interfaces with compare trigger outputs. A second CPU supports EtherCAT communication retention, which is intended to keep EtherCAT communication and process recipes running if the operating system or a program crashes.
