The EC4-A16 is a slim EtherCAT SubDevice that adds 16 isolated digital outputs to an EtherCAT network. Each channel is a source-type N-MOS output with an internal flywheel diode, rated at 500 mA per channel for load voltages from +10 VDC to +40 VDC. The module is intended for engineers who need dense digital output control on EtherCAT without a large footprint.
The module supports a 100 μs cycle time with distributed clocks. Power-on output values are configurable, and you can choose whether outputs keep their values when the EtherCAT state machine changes. The current output state of each channel is shown by LED indicators on the enclosure, and the removable terminal block simplifies wiring and replacement.
The housing measures 17.5 x 108 x 73 mm (W x L x D, excluding terminals) and can be installed on a DIN rail or mounted on a wall. The module has passed the conformance testing tool and is stated to be compatible with various standard EtherCAT MainDevices. It carries CE, UKCA, RoHS and WEEE markings.
