The ETS-7255 CR is an Ethernet I/O module for IIoT and automation projects that need to read switches, sensors and counters and drive loads over the network. It accepts dry or wet contact inputs and switches up to 650 mA per channel through source-type outputs, so it suits direct field wiring without a separate interface device.
Each of the eight inputs can operate as a 32-bit counter, and the power-on and safe values of the outputs are programmable, which helps define a known state if communication is lost. The built-in dual watchdog covers both module and communication faults. Isolation is rated at 2500 VDC for the I/O and 1500 VDC for the Ethernet side, although the input channels are not isolated from each other.
A two-port 10/100 Base-TX switch allows the unit to be daisy-chained along a line of devices. Control logic can be configured through the web interface using IF-THEN-ELSE rules, without writing code. The module can be powered from PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 2) or from a +12 to +48 VDC terminal block supply and mounts on a DIN rail.
