VPD-130N-H2 CR is a 3.5-inch touch HMI device from the VPD Series, built around a 240 x 320 TFT colour touch screen with 65535 colours. It suits engineers who need a compact operator panel with a single serial port for connecting to a controller or remote I/O, on either new installations or retrofits of existing systems.
The unit uses a 32-bit RISC CPU with 16 MB SDRAM and 16 MB Flash, and includes a real time clock and a buzzer. The front panel is rated IP65 and the unit can be fitted to a DIN rail or a panel. It is powered from a terminal block at +12 ~ 48 VDC, drawing 2 W. Ethernet is not fitted on this N variant; the source notes that Ethernet is available only on the VPD-133-H and VPD-133N-H.
Screens are developed in the free HMIWorks software, which offers graphical screen design, Ladder Designer for PLC-oriented users and a C language environment. The 20,000-hour backlight rating and non-volatile storage support dependable operation in demanding industrial environments.
