The USB-2562M CR expands one USB 2.0 host connection into four downstream Type A ports, so several high-speed peripherals can be connected to a single computer in an industrial cabinet or control enclosure. It operates in high-speed mode at up to 480 Mbit/s and falls back to full-speed (12 Mbit/s) and low-speed (1.5 Mbit/s) operation for older devices.
The hub runs only in self-powered mode, taking its supply from an external +10 ~ +30 VDC source rather than from the host port. Each downstream port can supply up to 500 mA, and per-port status LEDs show which connections are active. This arrangement is intended to give the widest compatibility with attached USB devices.
The unit has a metal casing and mounts on a DIN rail. It is rated for an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C and is supplied with a CA-USB18 cable (USB 2.0 A-male to B-male, 1.8 m) for connecting to the host.
