The TPD-283U-H CR is a compact 2.8-inch touch HMI with a 240 x 320 TFT colour display, designed for building and home automation. It combines a touch interface with an RS-485 port and a 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet port, so it can be used as a wall-mounted control pad for local or networked equipment.
Power can be supplied over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1, 48 V) or through the terminal block at +12 ~ 48 VDC, which simplifies installation where a network cable is already present. The unit includes a real-time clock, buzzer and rotary switch for time-based operation and user feedback.
Programming is handled with the free HMIWorks development tool. PLC-oriented users can work in Ladder Designer, while those with software backgrounds can use the C language environment. Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU are supported, along with custom communication protocols written in C.
