PEX-D48 CR is a PCI Express x1 digital I/O board providing 48 buffered TTL input/output lines. The lines are grouped into six 8-bit bi-directional ports (PA, PB and PC), and port C can be split into two 4-bit segments. All ports power up in input mode or after a reset.
The board is designed as a direct replacement for the PIO-D48, PIO-D48U and PIO-D48SU series, so existing software and drivers can be retained without modification. It emulates two industrial-standard 8255 PPI ports in Mode 0, with a digital I/O response time of approximately 2 μs (500 kHz maximum).
An onboard 4-bit Card ID, set by SMD switch, makes individual boards easy to identify when two or more are installed in the same computer. Pull-high and pull-low jumpers let the digital input state be predefined if channels are disconnected or a line is broken.
