I-9040P CR is a 32-channel digital input module from the I-9K/I-97K series for PAC-based I/O systems. Each channel is photo-coupler isolated and can be wired as either a sink-type or source-type input, so one module suits both common input wiring arrangements. It accepts dry contacts, wet (24 V level) signals and 5 V/TTL signals.
Wet inputs switch on between +19 VDC and +30 VDC and switch off below +11 VDC, which fits +24 VDC digital input systems. A low pass filter with settings from 1 ms to 70 ms can be selected by jumper or CPU parameter, helping to suppress short-duration noise on field signals. The filter is disabled by default.
Each channel has its own status LED, with a further LED for power and communication. For easier field wiring, an optional daughter board such as the DN-37-381-A can be paired with the module. The module provides 3750 VDC intra-module isolation and ±4 kV contact and ±8 kV air ESD protection.
