The I-7188XG CR is a compact programmable automation controller that runs embedded ISaGRAF Ver.3 SoftLogic to IEC 61131-3, making it a practical choice for local control logic in a small DIN-rail footprint. It combines an 80188 CPU at 40 MHz with MiniOS7 and two serial ports for connecting field devices.
Two serial ports are provided, one RS-232/RS-485 and one RS-485, both non-isolated and capable of up to 115200 bps. Modbus RTU/ASCII master and Modbus RTU slave functions are supported, alongside DCON, user-defined protocols and remote I/O over DCON or Modbus RTU. An optional X-Board can be fitted to add COM ports, I/O or memory.
This variant has no 5-digit 7-segment LED display; that feature is found on the I-7188XGD. Note that ISaGRAF cannot run on 64-bit Windows 7 or 8 PCs, so Win-GRAF is the suitable programming environment in that case.
