The ET-7005 CR is an Ethernet remote I/O module for temperature monitoring with thermistors. Each of its eight differential inputs can be set up with its own thermistor type, and a range of Precon, Fenwell and YSI sensors is supported. Where none of these fit, a user-defined type can be added by entering Steinhart coefficients.
Four isolated open-collector digital outputs (sink type) provide alarm signalling, each protected against short-circuit and overload. Communication runs over a single 10/100 Base-TX RJ-45 port using Modbus TCP or Modbus UDP, with ID, password and IP filter access control. A built-in web server and web HMI, together with a dual watchdog, support day-to-day supervision and configuration.
Isolation is rated at 2500 VDC for I/O and 1500 VDC for Ethernet, and the thermistor inputs offer overvoltage protection up to 110 VDC/VAC. These characteristics suit building, factory and machine automation, as well as remote maintenance, remote diagnosis and testing equipment.
