The PPDS-732-MTCP CR links serial equipment to an Ethernet network. It provides two RS-232 ports and one RS-485 port, together with four digital inputs and four digital outputs, and it can be powered over Ethernet via IEEE 802.3af Class 1 or from a 12 to 48 VDC terminal block.
Built around the MiniOS7 operating system, the unit can act as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway for SCADA and HMI systems that speak Modbus TCP. The VxComm driver and utility map the device's COM ports to standard COM ports on a Windows PC, which lets existing serial software reach remote hardware. The unit also includes a watchdog timer and programmable functions, with latched digital input and counter features.
The shipment includes a CA-0910 cable. The removable terminal block and the DIN-rail or wall mounting options make the device straightforward to install in control cabinets and plant environments rated for -25 ~ +75 °C.
