The tM-PDW8 CR is an 8-channel digital input module for RS-485 remote I/O networks. Each channel is photocoupler isolated, and the input type is set by wire connections, so the same module can read either dry contacts or wet (voltage) signals without changing hardware.
Wet contact channels can be wired as sink-type or source-type inputs, which helps when matching the module to the polarity of field devices. Every channel can also operate as a 16-bit counter with a maximum count of 65535, making the module suitable for pulse and switch counting tasks. Dual watchdog functions are provided for supervising the module and communication.
Communication uses DCON, Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII over a single RS-485 port, with baud rates from 1200 to 115200 bps. The module is powered from 10 to 30 VDC, mounts on a DIN rail and has an operating temperature range of -25 to +75 °C. It carries CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE certification markings.
