iKAN-116A-IP65 is a single-row LED message display for control cabinets, plant floors and other industrial sites where a PLC needs to present live status text. It accepts commands over Modbus TCP and can also be driven through CGI, MQTT, EtherNet/IP and Redfish, so it fits into both PLC-centric and IIoT architectures. Messages are edited and managed through a web interface over HTTPS, using a PC, smartphone or tablet.
The display holds up to 128 stored messages, each with a user-defined priority, and can combine fixed text with variables from a shared data pool within a single message. A built-in real-time clock lets messages show date and time. Seven colours are available: red, blue, yellow, green, light blue, purple and white.
Two RS-485 ports support Modbus RTU master and slave operation, and the two RJ-45 switch ports provide Ethernet connectivity. The aluminium casing is rated IP65 and is intended for wall mounting. The iKAN-116A-IP65 is the 16-character variant, measuring 1347 × 160 × 73 mm (W × L × D) and weighing 4.6 kg.
