The TPD-283-M3 CR is a compact touch HMI with a black cover, built around a 2.8-inch TFT colour touch screen with 240 x 320 resolution and 65535 colours. It is powered over Ethernet to IEEE 802.3af Class 1 (48 V), drawing 1.5 W, so a single RJ-45 cable handles both power and network connection. It is intended for building and home automation, where a small wall-mounted panel can replace conventional mechanical switches with programmable control.
Application programs can be developed with the free HMIWorks tool. PLC users can work in Ladder Designer, while IT users can work in the C language environment, which also supports custom communication protocols written in C. The manufacturer states that creating an application program with Ladder Designer takes no more than 30 minutes to learn.
The unit measures 127 mm x 92 mm x 30 mm and is designed for wall mounting. Its front panel is rated IP40, and it operates from -20 ~ +70°C with storage between -30 ~ +80 °C and humidity of 10 ~ 90% RH, non-condensing.
