Produktinformation "PPDSM-732-MTCP Programmable Device Server, 2x RS-232/1x RS-485, PoE"
PPDSM-732-MTCP is a programmable device server that links RS-232 and RS-485 serial devices to an Ethernet network. Its built-in VxComm utility can map the serial ports to standard COM ports on a Windows PC, so existing serial software can keep working over the network without rewriting the application.
The unit also acts as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway, allowing SCADA and HMI systems that speak Modbus TCP to reach Modbus RTU or ASCII devices. Four dry-contact digital inputs with latched D/I and counter functions, and four open-collector NPN digital outputs, add basic discrete I/O at the same node.
Power can come from IEEE 802.3af Class 1 Power over Ethernet or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block. The metal case, watchdog timer and -25 ~ +75 °C operating range suit demanding factory and building environments. The ordering code includes a CA-0910 cable.
