PISO-DNM100U-D is a single-port DeviceNet master card for PCI-based Windows systems. It acts as the master on a DeviceNet network and communicates with slave devices using Group 2 Only Server and UCMM functions, handling the network side so the host PC can exchange I/O data with field devices.
The card is built around an NXP SJA1000T CAN controller with a 16 MHz clock, a microprocessor inside, and an ISO-11898-2 transceiver. Its universal PCI interface accepts both 5 V and 3.3 V bus slots, and the board number is set with a DIP switch. The port is isolated, with 2500 Vrms photo-coupler isolation, and a jumper provides a 120 Ω terminal resistor.
Engineers will find the auto-scan, auto-reconnect and on-line add/remove features useful when slave devices are added or replaced on a running network. Drivers are supplied for Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10 in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions, with SDK support for VB 6.0, VC++ 6.0, BCB 6.0 and Visual Studio .NET.
