The PEX-P32A32 is a PCI Express digital I/O board for PC-based control and data acquisition. It provides 32 optically isolated digital inputs and 32 optically isolated digital outputs, grouped into four isolated banks, which helps break ground loops and shields the host computer from voltage spikes.
Each input channel is a photocoupler input that can use either the board's internal isolated supply or an external supply, selected by jumper. The outputs are PNP current-sourcing channels with an integrated suppression diode for inductive loads, and they require an external power source. An onboard 4-bit Card ID switch lets software identify the board when two or more cards are installed in the same computer.
The board is a direct replacement for the PISO-P32A32U series, so existing software and drivers can be retained. The ordering code includes one CA-4037B cable and two CA-4002 D-Sub connectors.
