The PET-7005 CR is a PoE Ethernet I/O module for temperature measurement with thermistors. Each of its eight differential inputs can be configured individually, so different thermistor types can be used on different channels. Supported types include Precon ST-A3, Fenwell U and several YSI series, and user-defined thermistors can be added by entering Steinhart coefficients.
Four isolated open-collector outputs with short-circuit and overload protection allow the module to drive alarm outputs. Its 2500 VDC intra-module isolation and 110 VDC/VAC overvoltage protection on the thermistor inputs are intended to support reliable operation in electrically demanding installations.
Communication is over Modbus TCP and Modbus UDP through a single 10/100 Base-TX RJ-45 port, with ID, password and IP filter access control. The module can be powered from PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1) or from a +12 ~ +48 VDC terminal block, and it mounts on a DIN rail.
