The NS-205PFT-24V is an unmanaged Ethernet switch that combines four RJ-45 10/100Base-TX ports, each able to supply power to a PoE device, with a single 100Base-FX multi-mode fibre port fitted with an ST connector. Each PoE port acts as a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) and can deliver up to 15.4 W per channel, so powered devices can be fed from one central supply rather than individual adapters.
Fibre uplinks provide electrical isolation from noise sources and allow 100 Mbps links over distances of up to 2 km. Because the unit is designed around a 24 VDC input, an internal boost to 48 VDC supports PoE operation in installations where a 48 VDC supply is not available.
The switch detects powered devices automatically and manages power accordingly. Its plastic housing mounts on a DIN rail and it is rated for operation from -30 °C to +75 °C.
