The ET-8KP8-MTCP CR extends up to eight I-8K and I-87K series I/O modules over Modbus TCP, so a PLC, SCADA system or HMI can reach remote analog, digital and DI counter channels across an Ethernet network. The unit supports more than 90 I/O modules in total.
Two Ethernet switch ports (2 x RJ-45, 10/100 Base-TX) allow units to be daisy-chained, reducing cabling and panel space. The RS-232 console port supports Modbus RTU/ASCII slave operation, and the unit can also act as a Modbus TCP to RTU gateway.
Designed for harsh, noisy environments, it has an isolated 10 ~ 30 VDC power input with redundant inputs and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. Auto configuration, LED fault indication, CPU and software watchdogs, and programmable power-on and safe values simplify commissioning and maintenance.
