The ET-7217-A5 combines eight differential high-voltage analog inputs and four digital outputs in a DIN-rail Ethernet module. Each input channel can be set independently to ±50 V or ±150 V, so one module can cover mixed voltage signals without extra signal conditioning. Digital outputs are isolated open-collector sink type, rated for 700 mA per channel.
Networking is handled by a built-in 2-port 10/100 Base-TX switch with LAN bypass, which allows modules to be daisy-chained along a line. The module supports Modbus TCP and Modbus UDP, and a built-in web server with web HMI allows configuration and remote monitoring from a browser. Access control uses ID, password and IP filter.
Reliability features include a dual watchdog covering the module and communication, programmable power-on and safe values for the digital outputs, and I/O pair connection. Isolation is rated at 2500 VDC for I/O and 1500 VDC for Ethernet. The module operates from -25 ~ +75 °C.
