The ET-7217-10 CR brings analogue signal acquisition onto Ethernet, with 10 differential or 20 single-ended analogue inputs that can be configured channel by channel. Each channel is set to a voltage or current range in software, and the matching hardware jumper selects voltage or current input, so one module can handle a mixed set of sensor signals.
Engineers will value the built-in 2-port switch with LAN bypass, which lets modules be daisy-chained along a line without a separate switch. The module offers a built-in web server with web HMI, Modbus TCP and Modbus UDP communication, and Communication Security with ID, password and IP filter access control. Two sampling modes let you trade speed against accuracy, with the normal mode rated at 10 Hz and the fast mode at 50 Hz across all channels.
Protection features include 240 Vrms overvoltage protection on differential inputs, ±4 kV contact ESD protection on each terminal, and isolation rated at 2500 VDC on I/O and 1500 VDC on Ethernet. The module runs from +12 ~ +48 VDC and operates between -25 ~ +75 °C, and it mounts on a DIN rail.
