The ET-2228P CR provides eight analog output channels at 16-bit resolution. Voltage outputs cover 0 ~ +5 VDC, ±5 VDC, 0 ~ +10 VDC and ±10 VDC, while current outputs cover 0 ~ 20 mA and 4 ~ 20 mA. Each channel is configured individually, and both power-on and safe output values are programmable. Open wire detection is available on the 4 ~ 20 mA channels.
A built-in 2-port 10/100 Base-Tx switch with LAN bypass supports daisy-chain wiring, which simplifies installation and can reduce infrastructure costs. The module offers dual-watchdog support, web-based configuration and password and IP filter access control. EMS protection (EFT, ESD and surge) and 3000 VDC I/O isolation are provided for electrically noisy industrial environments.
Communication options include Modbus TCP/UDP, MQTT and SNMP V2c. As an MQTT publisher and subscriber, the module can publish I/O status as topics to a broker and act on subscribed messages, with automatic reconnection and a Keep-Alive interval. Under SNMP V2c it reports module and I/O information to network management software, and its Trap function can notify administrators of I/O changes or restarts.
