The EMP-9251-16 CR combines computing, I/O and operator interface in a single Metal Motion PAC running Windows 10 IoT Enterprise (64-bit). The EtherCAT Master is pre-installed, so the unit can drive up to 16 axes and up to 512 EtherCAT nodes from one controller, with HMI, data acquisition and control integrated in one enclosure.
Motion features include synchronised motion (E-GEAR, E-CAM), virtual axes, multi-axis linear interpolation and a coupled control system. A second CPU supports EtherCAT communication retention, which keeps EtherCAT communication and the process recipe running even if the OS or a program crashes.
This ordering code provides 2 expansion slots for e9K, I-9K and I-97K series I/O, alongside 8 wet-contact digital inputs and 8 open-collector digital outputs (sink). Dual Gigabit Ethernet, VGA and HDMI outputs, RS-232/RS-485 and RS-485 ports and four USB 2.0 ports complete the connectivity.
